Definition
The laser uses thulium-doped (Tm³) and other rare-earth elements as the gain medium and achieves ultrashort pulse output in the 2-micrometer (1900-2050nm) wavelength band through fiber structure design. Its core principle is based on the energy level transition of thulium ions (3F₄→3H₆), combined with the advantages of all-fiber and high integration of fiber lasers, it can generate ultrashort pulse lasers on the femtosecond (fs) or picosecond (ps) scale.
