Harmonic Radar

I. Definition

Harmonic radar is a radar system that transmits a fundamental wave signal (such as electromagnetic waves) and receives the second, third, or even higher-order harmonic/combined wave signals radiated by the target, thereby judging, identifying, and detecting the target. Its core lies in utilizing the nonlinear characteristics of the target (such as metallic junctions, PN junctions, etc.) to generate harmonic signals, thus achieving a detection method different from traditional radar.

II. Characteristics

High sensitivity and low false alarm rate
Strong clutter suppression capability
Anti-nozzle interference

III. Application

Military electronic countermeasures
Industrial equipment inspection
Field search and rescue
